[ if suffering through the cold on the 25th of december, she might woken up to see him hauling the stupid thing into place, but he wouldn't have stopped to chat if she confronted him. nepeta doesn't even get a box -- there is just a bow taped to the big pile of canvas that is a fairly sturdy tent. stuffed inside said tent there is a thermal sleeping bag, designed to retain body heat.
